Theblack spearis a deep fish and has a large migration field, making long-term migrations.
The body of these fishes are long and more or less compressed on both sides. The upper jaw has become longer and has become a long spear with a round cross-section. The mouth is not protruding and there are fine, scraped teeth in both jaws.
Large gill pores and gill membranes are joined but are free from the throat. There are no spines on the gill arches and the gill strands are lattice-like. They have two dorsal fins located close to each other, the first dorsal fin is much larger than the second. They also have two anterior fins, the second anterior fin is smaller than the first fin and similar in size and shape to the second dorsal fin.
This fish is rare in the waters of the Persian Gulf and is rarely caught. It is often caught in the port of Chabahar by a group of carp fishermen using hooks and cup nets.
Theblack marlinhas delicious meat and tastes close to tuna fish. The meat of this fish has a high nutritional value due to the presence of astaxanthin.
